However, to potentially receive reimbursement for our services, you should first verify your out-of-network (OON) benefits with your insurer. We recommend asking them: "I would like to see an out-of-network provider. Do I have out-of-network benefits for mental health services?"
If OON benefits are available, please confirm the details, including any deductible, co-insurance, and the percentage of the fee they cover for specific services. You can inquire about reimbursement for the following common billing codes we use:
- Initial evaluations: 90792, 99204, 99205
- Follow-up appointments: 99214, 99215
- Additional therapy services (if applicable): 90833, 90836
- Services for patients under 18 (interactive complexity): 90785
We can provide you with a 'superbill' (a detailed receipt with service and diagnosis codes) after your appointment, which you can submit to your insurance company. Based on their responses about your OON benefits, you will better understand your potential reimbursement.
